There's not really a great deal to say about the Barbary Coast. It's a tiny place in comparison to the mega-resorts that surround it.
Crammed in between Flamingo Road and the Flamingo Las Vegas, with Ballys, Caesars Palace and the outstandingly fantastic Bellagio on the other three sides, it seems totally out of place.
In-fact, it's almost impossible to find anything out about the Barbary Coast on the Internet, even the official Barbary Coast website - http://www.barbarycoastcasino.com is fairly low-key about the whole thing.

But I get the feeling that this all actually adds to the place. It's sort of like what Las Vegas used to be before the big multi-nationals moved in, which is, I am sure, exactly what the people who stay, and gamble at the Barbary Coast like about it.
There's also the school of thought that states that the smaller casinos have to offer better odds to try and get you in. I can't confirm this, but if you're in the neighbourhood, pop into the Barbary Coast and give it a go.
This all reminds me, isn't it rather odd that the payback on Slots is announced in such grand terms. 'Our Slots pay out 98%' all sounds good until you think about it. This means that for every dollar you bet you get 98 cents back. No wonder you always go home broke!
