The Sahara is the second Las Vegas resort built around an Arabian Nights theme (the newly re-built Aladdin being the other one of course - well at least until it is reborn shortly as the Planet Hollywood). But unlike the Aladdin which has just been completely re-built at huge cost, at the Sahara they've taken the alternative route of constantly adding, amending and upgrading the resort. And while neighbouring resorts such as the Riviera have got frozen in time and just look old now, the Sahara has managed to maintain its appeal throughout.

Indeed the Sahara has just completed an extensive upgrade process that has added the Nascar area (see above) and a rather impressive looking roller-coaster ('Speed - The Ride') which while clearly not as long as the one at New York, New York does contain a completely vertical section! Inside, the resort features a Nascar café, a whole selection of Nas-cars, and a Nascar-themed Casino area.
