OK, lets get this out of the way fairly early on. I don't like the Frontier very much. OK, so I haven't actually stayed there, but from what I've seen there's nothing really that would tempt me to do so. This is a resort deeply lost in the 1970's (just look at the typography on the sign if you don't believe me) and is seriously in need of, well, re-fitting, re-modeling, re-building, or anything similar!!
In fact the current owners had planned a resort based around San Francisco (called 'City by the Bay') for the site, but have struggled to come up with the planned $950m required, so have put the plan on hold - and promised further investment in the Frontier in the meantime.

Yes, I know this is virtually the same picture, but there really isn't a lot more to show. The Frontier (or is it the 'New' Frontier, no-one really seems to be sure) actually doesn't look that bad from the outside (mirrored glass having come in, gone out and come back in to fashion) but inside it's another story. The casino feels small (which is odd considering the size it looks from the outside) old and cheap, and looks it too! Whilst not wishing to offend anyone that loves the place, the Frontier is a Casino whose best days are most certainly behind it!
