What to say about the Fashion Show mall?
Firstly (and fairly obviously) it's useful to know that it is more of a mall than a fashion show! Originally containing some 140 stores and restaurants including branches of nationwide chains like Macy's and Sak's Fifth Avenue as well as a whole bunch of specialist boutique stores, the Fashion Show Mall has recently completed an expansion no less impressive than some of it's Casino neighbours! Now containing over 250 stores and restaurants - including the only Nordstrom in Nevada and no less than seven department stores, this really is a Mega-Mall totally in keeping with the Mega-Resorts it shares Las Vegas Boulevard with!!!. Huddled in amongst the department stores you'll also find book shops, CD places, and dozens of other places full of all sorts of other super stuff!

The Fashion Show Mall scores big on it's location - or at least it will do once the Wynn Las Vegas resort that will open in 2005 directly opposite it is finished. In addition to the upcoming Wynn Las Vegas, the Fashion Show Mall is right next door to Treasure Island and consequently just North of the Venetian.
As part of the recent massive expansion, the Fashion Show Mall has created the 'cloud' - a rather stunning 480-foot (that's 146m) long canopy, that seems (almost) to float 128-feet (39m) above the strip. During the day this provides welcome shade from the fierce desert sun, whilst at night it is used as a giant projection screen. Once again, only in Las Vegas!
